Family Man 2: Nagarjuna is worried for daughter-in-law Samantha Akkineni over trailer controversy
Amazon Prime’s latest show the Family Man 2 has been in the news ever since its trailer was released. Samantha Akkineni who is making her digital debut with the show failed online trolls and abuses. However, this is a matter of concern for her family and they are worried for her. Samantha’s protective father-in-law and Telugu superstar Nagarjuna have been asked not to comment on the protests.
Thought Nag is annoyed by the “premature protests.” Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying, “Nag is no stranger to protests. But he won’t tolerate his children being attacked. And Sam, as he affectionately calls her, is like a daughter of the family. Nag gets very upset to see any of his children in a vulnerable situation.”
Ever since the trailer of Manoj Bajpayee starer, The Family Man released the actress is facing a huge backlash for apparently hurting Tamil sentiments by playing what some have seen as a terrorist with Pakistan links.
Now Nagarjuna and his son Nag Chaitanya are quite concerned about the matter.
The Nag family is hoping that the controversies around die soon once the series is aired. Meanwhile, the show makers have suggested Samantha remain tight lips on the matter.
