Ayushmann Khurrana, Aparshakti Khurana’s father and astrologer P Khurana, passes away

In a rather shocking update, actors Ayushmann Khurana and Aparshakti Khurrana’s father, Pandit P Khurana, passed away today morning. As per the earlier media reports, Pandit P Khurana, was suffering from heart related problems and that he was under treatment at Fortis Hospital in Mohali, Punjab.

An official statement from Aparshakti Khurana’s spokesperson can be read, “It’s with our deep sadness to inform that Ayushmann and Aparshakti Khurana’s father, Astrologer P Khurana passed away this morning at 10:30 am in Mohali, owing to a prolonged incurable ailment. We are indebted for all your prayers and support during this time of personal loss.”

P Khurana was popularly known in North India for his contribution in the field of astrology. Hailing from Chandigarh, Punjab, he also wrote books based on his knowledge on the subject. The last rites for Pandit P Khurana will be held at Manimajra Incineration Ground in Chandigarh at 5.30 pm on Friday.

Pretty often, Ayushmann Khurrana used to share photographs of his parents on social media. In 2020, Ayushmann had shared his father’s photo on Instagram to celebrate his father’s birthday. Sharing a picture of his father, Ayushmann wrote: “Happy bday to the world’s best father! You gave me the wings, talent and ambition. I won’t tell your age to the world. Coz they won’t believe it. Jai jai (that’s what we say when we do charan sparsh).”

Meanwhile on the work front, Ayushmann Khurrana was last seen in ‘An Action Hero’ which despite getting positive reviews failed at the box office. The actor will be next seen in another social comedy Dream Girl 2, where he will be seen sharing screen with Ananya Panday. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas on 25 August .
