Story

The film Raabta is basically a reincarnation drama which sees two lovers Shiv (Sushant Singh Rajput) and Saira (Kriti Sanon) who return to the present century to complete their love affair. It’s an unusual love story to say the least. But it’s left to see whether Shiv and Kaira will succeed in having their own happily ever after or will they be forced to part ways? Not to mention, Raabta also stars Jim Sarbh  and Rajkummar Rao who form the tribe from the previous life. Sounds interesting right, you can catch it in your nearest screen to explore more about it.

Review

As the makers of Maghadeera alleged that the film is of the same concept, there were many movies with the same concept. But the only thing that is different is the motivation of the story with the idea that Dinesh Vijan has in his mind. The movie is better with the lead actors chemistry which worked out so well. The audience will get bored at some points in the second half, but the highs that the film has gives the boost. Sushant & Kriti Sanon Chemistry worked out as their performance while one can catch the vision of Dinesh Vijan straight in his direction. However, the plot of the film is very much similar to many other historical movies which includes love story. The first half seems okay however, the film lags a bit in the second half.

Raabta The Final Word

The contemporary parts of the film are relatively enjoyable. While you may wonder how a rich, eccentric man is allowed to roam free in Europe kidnapping women, the film doesn’t bow down to logic. The climax — which sees the lovers save the day — is unintentionally funny, but the last scene puts a smile on your face. All that drama also makes you wonder how an unhinged man is allowed to flourish without any fear of authorities.
