Mithun Chakraborty’s father Basantakumar Passes Away in Mumbai
A sad news there for the veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty as he lost his father. His father Basantakumar Chakraborty died this Tuesday night at the age of 95 at Mumbai. However, as the actor saw his father passed away in Mumbai, he is seen struck in Bangalore. He was reported to be there for some work and was struck at the said city when the lockdown was announced. His father has been fighting some age-related ailments for some time and finally gave up his fight last Tuesday informed the sources.
The actor was in Bangalore for the shoot but later was struck when the lockdown all across the nation was announced. He had no option but to stay in the hotel, while the actor is now trying to return to Mumbai to carry out the last rites there. Soon after the death news of his father came out, several of his friends from the industry were seen paying condolences message on social media. The Popular Bengali actress Rituparna Sengupta was quick to confirm this news by tweeting about the same. She has been close to the family and thus confirmed the news by tweeting.
She prayed for the late father of the actor along with giving her condolences to the family. His father Basantakumar Chakraborty is survived by his wife Santimoyee Chakraborty, apart from his actor son – the elder Gouranga Chakraborty aka Mithun and his family. As per reports, Mithun’s eldest son, Mimoh Chakraborty is now in Mumbai and is taking care of the issue.
