Cancer the second largest killer in India: Study

In India, the dreaded disease called Cancer kills than any other cause in this country reveals the recent reports of Global Burden of Cancer, which was published in the latest issue of the known medical journal called Jama Oncology. As per the report, there were 1.17 million of new cancer cases, which have been reported in India that has given death to 6,75,000 deaths in the year 2013. The study indicates the drastic increase in the number of people affected by cancer since 1990 when the deaths were reported to be around 4,26,000. The causes the study has indicated is the late diagnosis of this disease, which leads to a delay in treatment giving away the deaths in the country.

One of the popular cancers in India is mouth cancer, which reports the death of around 54,700 people, while in the nineties the figure was just the half in the table of deaths. The prominent reason is the use of tobocco, which is the prime reason to give people the issue of mouth cancer. The study was carried out in around 188 nations all over the world wherein the deaths are reported to be of 8.2 millions worldwide. The study also indicated the other forms of cancer including liver cancer, which has now become the prime cause of death among the women not just in India but all over the world.
