Call Me Bae Season 2: Shruti Haasan Joins Ananya Panday as “Nayi Behen” Drama Unfolds

Prime Video has officially greenlit the second season of its hit series Call Me Bae, following a major announcement at the Prime Video Presents: India 2026 event. The new season sees Ananya Panday returning as Bella “Bae” Chowdhary, who is finally stepping into the spotlight as a professional news anchor. However, her rise to fame is quickly met with personal chaos, including a messy love triangle involving her returning ex-husband and her “distractingly hot” boss.

Adding to the drama is the high-profile addition of Shruti Haasan to the cast. Her character is expected to shake up Bae’s close-knit circle of friends, introducing a “Nayi Behen” (New Sister) dynamic that threatens to shatter their long-standing “behen-code.” Sources suggest Shruti will sport a surprising new look for the role, moving away from her signature edgy style toward an eclectic, boho-chic aesthetic. Recent filming clips from Jodhpur have already sparked excitement about her mysterious new character.
