At Box office, you have all together a different story. The much hyped and awaited movie called Calendar Girls directed by the reality man – Madhur Bhandarkar is way behind the comedy and newly introduced actor Kapil Sharma’s film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karu. It seems that the magic of comedy nights with Kapil seems to have swept Calendar Girls and the other release Bhaag Johnny. Despite getting positive reviews from most of the Critics, the film has managed to say behind KKPK. Although KKPK had mixed reviews, which had nothing but the presence of Kapil in it and his endless comedy, yet it managed to spread the magic.
As per reports, the first weekend for Calendar Girls seemed poor. With a slow or dull start of around 4 crores on the first day and 6 crores the other, the film didn’t manage to impress the audience. Though the film was good in terms of content and direction but has failed to attract audience far and wide. So, as per the current story, the first weekend box office collection for Calendar Girls tolled to around 16 crores, which is really not an impressive figure as compared to the 29 crore collection to the Abbas Mastan directed movie Kis Kisko Pyaar Karun.
