For the makers of the film Section 375, its a tough time ahead as they and the lead actor Akshay Kumar have been summoned by the Pune Civil Court for the reason as they face the allegation of showcasing lawyers in a negative light. Akshay Khanna who also happens to be the producer of the film along with Kumar Mangal Pathak and Abhishek Mangal Pathak has been called to appear before the court on 9th September.
The film is directed by Ajay Bahl, which revolves around Section 375 of the IPC. The film also has Richa Chadha playing the public prosecutor who fights for justice to get the justice for her client, and she was claimed that she was raped by a filmmaker as played by Rahul Bhatt, while he is defended by Akshaye Khanna’s character in court trying to prove him not guilty.
A lawyer from Pune has filed this petition of the city where he claimed that the trailer of the film and the promos have portrayed his profession in a negative light along with portraying even the court procedures in a wrong way. As per reports, the petitioner has even slammed the producers where they have shown a scene of a cross-statements of a rape survivor while they discuss it openly her some objectionable questions in the courtroom.
