Bollywood stars follow the No Movie Release in Pakistan trend for Notebook and Kabir Singh
Due to the ongoing political and security breaches associated with the upheld increase in tension between the two neighbors, India and Pakistan, Indians have stood by the side of the army in all forms. Not only the political fronts are taking a high toll in this respect but, even Bollywood has taken a step ahead in supporting the country.
Producer Murad Khetani has thus, decided on not releasing his upcoming films, Kabir Singh and Notebook in Pakistan following the trend of dissatisfaction display with non-supported movie releases like Total Dhamaal, Luka Chuppi, and many others.
Considering the most recent terror attacks, several steps have been forwarded by the filmmakers and actors at both professional and personal level towards considering the current tension situation. Even the makers of the movie Total Dhamaal did decide on not releasing the film in Pakistan. The Pulwama Terror attack killing over 40 CRPF personnel has been a big blow for the entire country. Thus, condemning such an act, even Bollywood has been raging in anger. This is why, following the footsteps of the makers of Total Dhamaal, the next upcoming lot of new movies like Notebook and Kabir Singh will also be kept away from being released in Pakistan.
Producer Murad Khetani took the decision of not releasing both his upcoming films, Salman Khan’s Notebook, and Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh. During a promotional event for Notebook, he mentioned, “We are not releasing our film (‘Notebook’) in Pakistan. Our upcoming films ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Satellite Shankar’ too will also not release there.”
