HBD Prateik Babbar: Once a victim of drugs at 12, wishes to fulfill his mother Smita Patil’s dream
Prateik Babbar, son of veteran Hindi cinema actresses Smita Patil and Raj Babbar has seen the truth of life very closely. Prateik, born on November 28, is trying to fulfill the dreams seen by his mother Smita. In the passion of becoming a good actor in the entertainment industry, he is slowly moving towards success one step at a time. Prateik has seen a lot of ups and downs in his life, some difficulties came in such a way that he had to become a victim of drugs. Today the actor has turned 36 years old, on this special day let’s tell about his journey till date.
Smita Patil died a few days after Prateik’s birth. Mother was not in this world and father did not have time, so he got used to drugs. When Prateik got addicted to drugs, he was only 12 years old. Prateik was also sent twice to the Rehab Center to get rid of his drug addiction. The actor said in an interview that “my father had no time for me. Everyone used to tell me the success story of my mother, but I always used to think that why my mother is not with me.”
Prateik Babbar started his career as an assistant:
Prateik was brought up by his maternal grandparents since childhood. After a lot of effort, he got rid of the drugs, then, he took care of his health and diet, and is active in the acting world. Let us tell you that, Prateik worked as an assistant with ad filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar before pursuing an acting debut. He also worked in ad films, then after working in films like ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Naa, ‘Dhobi Ghat’, ‘Ek Deewana Tha’, ‘Mulk’, ‘Ishq’, and ‘Hickups and Hookups’. He gets the most fame from the film Ek Deewana Tha starring Amy Jackson.

About his marrige:
Talking about Prateek’s personal life, Sanya Sagar is his life partner. Both got married in the year 2019 after knowing each other for a long time.

He is all set for his upcoming web show ‘India Lockdown’, directed by Madhur Bhandarkar. The film is scheduled to release on OTT ZEE5 on 2 December.
