Bollywood actress Sridevi passes away, she was 54

A bad news this Sunday for the Bollywood fans as the yesteryear and most talented actress of the B Town Sri Devi passes away with a cardiac arrest. The news was confirmed by her brother-in-law Sanjay Kapoor and she was 54.  She passed away at this age yesterday at around 11.00-11.30. As per reports, the actress Sridevi had visited Dubai with her husband Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi Kapoor at the time of death. She was her with her entire Kapoor family in UAE for attending the marriage ceremony of Mohit Marwah. She was born as  Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan.

The actress Sridevi has worked in a wide range of films including in the South Indian films ranging from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada before she entered into the Hindi films. She entered in to the world of acting in the late sixties, but with her performance in the Malayalam film Poombata release in the year 1971 won her the state award for best child artist. She made her debut in Bollywood as a child artist in Julie (1975), while her debut role in a longer role as a child came at the 13 in a Tamil film called Moondru Mudichu released in the year 1976.

Sridevi went on to be a big hit in India and in the recent times, she was seen in Bollywood with her comeback film called English Vinglish apart from her recently released movie Mom. She was even awarded the Padma Shri, which is the fourth highest civilian honour award in India that she bagged in the year 2013. Her funeral would be carried out in Mumbai including her last rights in her home city. She has left behind her husband Boney Kapoor and her two daughters along with large number of friends and relatives. May her soul rest in peace.
