With several flops, the actor Sunny Deol is back with another film Blank and it went the same way as far as the box office collection is concerned. Having negative ratings by a majority of critics, the film failed to create a good buzz around it affecting it bad at the box office. The Behzad Khambata’s thriller has not much to impress the audience rather than the yelling and crying of Sunny Deol playing the cop, while the story had some twist but having low star value did nothing much to attract the audience.
Right from the morning, the occupancy report of the film has been low and it did keep to be similar in the evening as well. With 5 to 10 percent occupancy for the film, it escalated to a minimal level reaching 15 to 20 percent, which ended up giving an average collection at the box office. The film starring Sunny Deol, Karan Kapadia, Karanvir Sharma and Ishita Dutta in the pivotal roles failed to impress the audience. As per reports, the 1st-day box office collection reached to around 1.2 Crores.
As per experts, the film is likely to have similar figures at the box office in the first weekend as well. Thanks to the minimal level of buzz that surrounds the film. Now, talking about the budget, the film was made at the cost of 20 crores, but with such low figures coming at the box office, it would be difficult to recover the amount within the first week as well. It has given the nephew of Dimple Kapadia his break in B Town. Let’s see how things would move in the coming days but at the moment things are not positive.
