Black Panther: Wakanda Forever had an amazing Day 1 at box office

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was made available in Theatres yesterday and it seems like moviegoers were excited to watch it. The Hollywood film did an amazing opening on its first day and we think it will be a huge success looking at the strength of its opening. It’s the weekend, and the earnings should rise to 40 crores.

We can definitely expect a rise on Saturday and Sunday, but Marvel movies often lack strong growth when they have a good start. Let us have a comparative study of the top 5 highest opening days of Hollywood films in India after the COVID-19 pandemic to find where this one stands:

1. Spiderman: No Way Home 32.67 cr
2. Dr Strange: Multiverse Of Madness 28.74 cr
3. Thor: Love And Thunder  18.48 cr

4.

Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

12 cr (approx)

5. Jurrasic World: Dominion  8.22 cr

So, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever stands on the 4th position in opening day collections

The movie managed to gross around Rs. 12 crores becoming the fourth-highest one post-pandemic and third-best film this year.

Interestingly, it grossed double that of its prequel ‘Black Panther,’ which earned Rs. 5.50 crore when it was released in 2018. Wakanda Forever’s earnings could have been better in Mumbai region, but this was expected as even Bollywood movies are having hard luck after the pandemic. It did better in Gujrat even though the performance in the Maharashtra region wasn’t impressive.
