Bijay Anand is an actor and Yoga teacher who hails from Mumbai. He was born on 26th March 1971 in Mumbai and was raised in this city only. He did his schooling and college from Mumbai, however, his interest in Yoga led him to Rishikesh where he did a course in Yoga in a college called Golden Bridge Yoga, Rishikesh, India. However, his young age has gone with lots of struggle as he used to sell soaps in a local train in Mumbai. He also worked as Yoga Teacher. He got the chance to do the film – Pyaar to Hona Hi Tha where he played the boyfriend of Kajol.
However, he got his first break with the film Yash. While he was in films, he seemed to be in a big mess and due to his miserable life, he left everything behind to tread the spiritual path. He worked as a Yoga teacher becoming a yogi. However, after 17 long years, he is back to the small screen in a mythological serial called Siya Ke Ram. During his earlier days, he also was seen on the cover page of Femina magazine as the Indian male model.
He said he had faced a lot in his life, struggle, misery, and many more things and when he was active in the Bollywood, he was offered more than 22 films but he had quit treading the spiritual path. He turned Yogi and in no time started teaching people of different age Yoga for which he traveled not just in India but also abroad including the US and Europe. He is often seen in mythological TV shows apart from being a Yoga teacher. Talking about his personal life, he got married to Sonali Khare who is an actress, while the couple has a daughter called Sanaya Anand. He is now gearing up for the web series – Medically Yourrs.
