Raqesh Bapat has been making news since day one in the Bigg Boss OTT house for his developing friendship with Shamita Shetty. But, while the actress appeared to be a little bossy, he appeared to be a little off. Kashmera Shah labelled the actor a ‘henpecked husband,’ claiming that he never stood up for Shamita in the Big Boss house. The actress Ridhi Dogra, Raqesh’s ex-wife, then backed him and attacked Kashmera for her remark.
Raqesh Bapat has retaliated against Kashmera now that he is out of the house, claiming that he is not a ‘henpecked husband but a caring one.’
Speaking to PeepingMoon, Raqesh said, “I would say I’m not henpecked, I’m a caring husband because I always give my woman the space, the treatment, the respect and I don’t cross that. And I treat my woman like a queen and that’s what a man should do because there’s love and a lot of caring so somewhere I like to treat my people special and it doesn’t make you henpecked.”
“You bow down to certain levels just because you want to give them that love so that is not being henpecked. I’ve always been like this and it doesn’t make me weak. It’s not about not taking a stand, it’s just that I ignore certain things and I do certain things for the person’s happiness. Henpecked and all are just names, I know what I am,” he added.
The actor also talked about his ex wife supporting him. He said, “She messaged me after I came out saying ‘you played well and I supported you all the time’. I knew she’d support me and I spoke to her and we discussed a lot of things about the house. She loved the way I played it, she said it with full respect.”
Raqesh went on to say that it was tough for him to express himself in the Bigg Boss OTT house because of the “chaos.” He described himself as a “calm” guy who does not make quick decisions. “I have always been someone who did not ‘scream and shout’ to be heard and did not see a need for me to change that just for the sake of the show,” he said.
