With the success of Dunki, Shah Rukh Khan has achieved a hat trick in 2023. His earlier releases, Pathaan and Jawan, also performed exceptionally well at the box office, grossing ₹1,050.30 crore and ₹1,148.32 crore respectively. Dunki marks Shah Rukh’s third consecutive blockbuster, solidifying his reign at the box office throughout the year.

Dunki revolves around the issue of immigration, with its title derived from the term “donkey journey,” which signifies the arduous and often perilous paths people take to immigrate to their desired destinations.
