Big B to get an International Felicitation from Martin Scorsese & Christopher Nolan
The mega star – Amitabh Bachchan has been making news for many reasons and one of the key reasons now is that he is to be applauded at the global event on 19th march. As per TOI, the mega star will be conferred with the award on the 2021 FIAF Award by The International Federation of Film Archives (FIAF). The megastar was nominated by the prestigious group FIAF affiliate Film Heritage Foundation, which was founded by filmmaker and archivist Shivendra Singh Dungarpur.
The two Martin Scorsese and Christopher Nolan, also share a good rapport with India through their affiliation with the Film Heritage Foundation. The actor is felicitated for his contribution in the films and his commitment towards the preservation of the world’s film heritage. Interestingly, he remains the first Indian to get this global award. Earlier the personalities like Martin Scorsese, Ingmar Bergman and Christopher Nolan have received the same in 2001, 2003 and 2017 respectively.
