Bhumi Pednekar Shares Her Experience Representing India at the World Economic Forum in Davos

Bhumi Pednekar is set to make a significant impact at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland, where she will represent India as a Young Global Leader. Known for her strong advocacy for environmental issues and sustainability, Bhumi is excited to bring her message to a global audience, joining the ranks of other notable figures like Shah Rukh Khan, who have participated in this prestigious event.
Reflecting on her upcoming role, the 35-year-old actress expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “When I got the news, I was beyond excited. I have been following the summit for many years now. I love being on platforms where my voice gets heard. This is just the start of a lot of brilliant collaborations that are going to happen for me.”While many of her fans celebrate her achievement, Bhumi acknowledges that some people may perceive film celebrities as disconnected from real-world issues.
Addressing this concern, she explains, “Being disconnected from what is happening in the world outside is not because of the profession we are in; it’s a personal choice. I find solace in the fact that I can create some kind of change because of the work I do. If we don’t work towards making the world a better place, success won’t matter; at least for me, it’s like that.
“At the forum, Bhumi will engage in discussions across various panels, focusing on topics such as creating an equitable world and exploring how artificial intelligence (AI) can assist in climate action. Her participation in this high-profile event underscores her commitment to using her platform for meaningful change, reinforcing the importance of sustainability in today’s world. As the five-day meeting unfolds, Bhumi Pednekar aims to inspire action and awareness on critical environmental issues.
