Bhumi Pednekar and Pulkit Reunite for New Project, Produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment: Report
Bhumi Pednekar and Pulkit are set to reunite for an exciting new project. The acclaimed duo previously worked together on the Netflix film Bhakshak, a poignant retelling of the Muzaffarpur Shelter Case. Now, they are collaborating once again with the backing of Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment. According to a report from Pinkvilla, details about the rest of the cast are yet to be revealed, as the film is currently in the early stages of development. For Pednekar, this project is a dream come true, as she has long admired Red Chillies and its founder, Shah Rukh Khan.
In a recent Q&A session, Pednekar opened up about her childhood aspiration to work with the superstar, sharing an emotional video on her Instagram story. She expressed, “Honestly, an actor… Actor kya superstar, my childhood dream is SRK. I have come close because he has produced Bhakshak, and the amazing thing is that both Dunki and Bhakshak are trending on Netflix, which is so, so cool. Big shout out to Red Chillies. But my dream is Shah Rukh sir. He is just the best.”Bhakshak, her previous film with Pulkit, boasted a talented ensemble cast that included Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, Sai Tamhankar, Surya Sharma, Durgesh Kumar, and Chittaranjan Tripathy.
The film’s music was crafted by Anurag Sakia, with lyrics penned by Raj Shekhar and Anuj Garg.In addition to this new project, Pednekar is preparing for her series debut on Netflix. Titled The Royals, this modern-day romantic comedy centered around Indian royalty will be directed by Priyanka Ghose and Nupur Asthana. The series will also mark the Netflix debut of the legendary actress Zeenat Aman.
