Amidst all the buzz, we saw the film Panipat releasing on the big day. The film happens to be the magnum opus of Ashutosh Gowariker that has been in a discussion for various reasons. One big reason was for the star cast and the way the film was made with huge sets and a massive budget. The film with its trailer has created good in the media, but the way it has performed at the box office seemed at the lower side. The morning and afternoon show started with a buzz of around 15 to 20 per cent, which went higher in the evening shows.
The occupancy report went to around 50 to 60 per cent in the evening but Panipat did face the heat of competition from the other film Pati Patni Aur Woh. As per reports, the 1st-day box office collection for Panipat went to around 5.7 Crores, which is lower than expected. Also, with the higher budget, the film should go on to collect huge at the box office then only it would enter into the profit zone. With this figure, the experts are expecting a bit of surge if the film can garner good word of mouth buzz in the media.
As per reports, the movie is all set to collect not less than 20 to 22 crores on the first-weekend box office collection. It is all because it would face the competition at the box office with the release of Muddassir Aziz’s film Pati Patni Aur Woh.
