Alia Bhatt was excited when she got the film Gangubai Kathiawadi from the veteran filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. She would be playing as the leading lady of the film and has been working hard to get her accent correct as per the character requirements. This was her maiden collaboration with SLB in B Town. However, amid the lockdown due to the COVID 19 outbreak, the shooting for the film seems to have come on a hold. The shooting was carried out in Flim City in Mumbai.
With this the sets at the studio remained unused and with things still not clear about how and when the lockdown would open up, the makers have decided to demolish the brother set made in the Film City. As per reports, the filmmaker Bhansali has now asked his production team to get rid of the sets erected in the studio. As per reports, the filmmaker has cleared the payment till March for the set maintenance. They thought that the lockdown would only avert the shoots for a month and thus would resume things the best.
However, nothing of that sort has happened and he had to see the sets occupying the studio at Film City. With lots of brainstorming, he felt it would be a cheaper deal to demolish the sets at the Film City as it will take more than two months to make things normal. Hence they have decided to raze the sets to ground zero. However, the makers are yet to confirm this news officially. The makers have released two posters from the film and it was slated to release on 11th September 2020. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
