Bhagam Bhag 2 Shoot Delayed to August 2026; Akshay Kumar to Begin Golmaal 5 Soon
Akshay Kumar, known for his relentless work ethic, is gearing up for his next project after completing a major schedule of Anees Bazmee’s family comedy. Sources reveal that Akshay is set to commence shooting for Golmaal 5 by the end of March, dedicating an 18-day start-to-finish schedule to the film.
Meanwhile, the much-anticipated Bhagam Bhag 2 has faced setbacks. Earlier this month, reports surfaced about a legal dispute between Ekta Kapoor and director Raaj Shandilyaa affecting the project. While official statements suggested the film was on track, insider information confirms otherwise.
Reliable sources tell Bollywood Hungama that the shoot for Bhagam Bhag 2 has now been postponed to August 2026. The initial plan to start filming in March in India was derailed due to the ongoing legal battle, disrupting actor availability and schedules. The team is actively working to reschedule, hoping all legal matters will be resolved by mid-year.
There’s still a possibility of shooting a brief sequence in the interim if Akshay Kumar’s dates align, but the bulk of the combination scenes originally slated for March-April have been pushed to August. “Akshay has currently blocked his dates, but if a slot opens, he might allocate some days to Bhagam Bhag 2,” a source added.
For now, Akshay’s focus remains on completing Anees Bazmee’s Golmaal 5 and another comedy project before diving back into Bhagam Bhag 2. Fans will have to wait a little longer for the sequel, but with Akshay’s busy schedule, the action and laughs are sure to be worth it when the film finally rolls.
