As the evening for the president’s award approached, we hear now two B Town bigwigs getting the awards called Padma Shri, which is regarded as the prestigious Fourth Highest Civilian Award in the country. The award is given to people who have contributed in the field of performing arts. In B Town, we saw Karan Johar and Ekta Kapoor bagging the same. They went all the way to the Rashtrapati Bhawan to bag the same.
Ekta Kapoor however, was awarded for her contribution in the TV industry in particular along with the digital content and film. Whereas Karan Johar for giving the best films and web content. Ekta Kapoor was seen coming along with her father Jeetu sir. She said she is honored to get this award and feel grateful for the same. She dedicated her awards to her parents whom she called her two big pillars of strength in her life.
Talking about the same, Karan Johar also wrote that he is also honored to get the same and feels loss of words for the same. He said it is such an honour to receive this award. He got emotional while talking about it and said he is so overwhelmed by the same. He ended up saying that he is humbled, thankful and elated.
