Bell Bottom 1st Weekend Collection, the Thriller Scoring at a better note

The Akshay Kumar starrer film Bell Bottom seemed to have enjoyed a decent buzz around the media, however, in terms of collection, the movie seemed lower than expected. The makers chose to release the film in a dual mode – releasing in both the OTT platform and the theatres. However, with Covid restrictions already in place, we see the occupancy allowed in the theatre to be around 50 percent. This has also hampered the occupancy in both the multiplexes and single screens.

Thus giving an average kind of figure at the first weekend especially when we see Akshay Kumar’s films. With a meagre start on the first day on Thursday, the movie continued with the similar pace and Sunday seemed to have gained around 4.50 Crores for being a festive time. Also, the theatres are shut down still in Maharashtra, we barely see anything tangible coming out from it. Well, now all our eyes seem to be on Monday and other weekdays.

As per reports, the 1st weekend box office collection for Bell Bottom seemed to have gone around 13 Crores. This is a decent figure considering the theatres being operated with 50 percent occupancy all across the state and a few states like MS are still on hold as far as opening up the theatres are concerned. Had this been a normal time of release, the film could have gained more than double the figure that we could see now. The Ranjit Tewari directed spy thriller has gained a good review both by the critics and audience.
