Recently in an interview with Pinkvilla, Bajrangi Bhaijaan fame actress Harshaali Mahotra expresses her excitement for the second edition of Bajrangi Bhaijaan. “I am super duper excited. Now, all I hope is Salman uncle calls and says that we need to start preparing for the film, and I’ll immediately join him. Ever since the announcement has been made, many people have been tagging me on social media wanting to know more about the project,” says the actress, further adding, “I am waiting for it to start soon, and I hope that I have a role in it.”
“I feel very good when I see Bajrangi Bhaijaan even today, and sometimes wonder if that was really me,” Harshaali laughs.
“We used to have a lot of fun while filming. We would go on ATV rides, and even play table tennis. I remember once while shooting when I wasn’t feeling well, he had said that when an actor is unwell, it shouldn’t reflect in their acting. I still follow that advice, ” Seh added.
Meanwhile, earlier in an interview with Mid-Day, filmmaker Kabir Khan discussed the planned sequel to Bajrangi Bhaijaan and how it was announced on Salman Khan’s birthday. “Salman doesn’t follow (protocols) of formal announcements. He talks from his heart”, he said.
“Pawan Putra Bhaijaan is what Salman is calling it. It is definitely being written, He mentioned that it is happening because he is excited. I have not read the script, but Vijendra sir will (always) write something exciting. The idea of [creating] a sequel never excites me. I will never make a sequel to my film only because (the original) was successful. If [I find] a great story, I will be happy to make one.”
For the uninitiated, Bajrangi Bhaijaan was released in theatres in 2015 and was a huge hit with audiences due to its stunning storyline and writing. The story focused on a young man named Pawan who crosses the India-Pakistan border to return a small lost girl to her family.
