Ravi Chopra, the popular filmmaker and director of the famous Bollywood movie – Baghban passes away yesterday. The director was admitted in Breach Candy Hospital and was battling lung cancer. As per the sources, his funeral is scheduled today at his residence. He is survived by his three kids and wife along with a number of relatives. As per his family, he was suffering from severe lung ailment since a couple of years and which led to cancer finally leading his life.
He is a son of popular filmmaker B R Chopra and the nephew of late Yash Chopra. He has directed a number of movies including Zameer, The Burning Train, Dahleez, Mazdoor, Baghban and Babul. He also produced the popular Bhoothnath series, while also made a couple of mythological TV shows including Vishnu Puran, Ma Shakti and Mahabharat. The funeral is expected to be at 11 am today from his residence. A number of his close relatives and friends have started pouring in rich tributes to the popular filmmaker over social media sites like Twitter and Facebook.
