Ayushmann Khurrana Hangs Between Borders in First Poster for Spy-Comedy ‘Udta Teer’
The makers of Udta Teer have dropped a quirky first-look poster featuring Ayushmann Khurrana, teasing an unconventional take on the classic India-Pakistan dynamic. The striking visual shows Khurrana casually lounging in a hammock suspended directly between two border markers for India and Pakistan. Resting a file stamped with “Top Secret” on his chest, the actor looks unbothered, while an eccentric goat wearing sunglasses stands in the background to seal the film’s offbeat tone.
Adding to the intrigue is the poster’s tagline, “Desh Bhakti Yaad Hai, Par Desh Nahi,” which signals a satirical exploration of patriotism and nationalism. Rather than leaning into high-stakes action or intense jingoism, Udta Teer positions itself as a playful spy-comedy that pokes fun at cross-border tensions. The visual direction suggests a refreshing narrative that challenges traditional border tropes through clever humor and absurdity.
The project reunites Ayushmann Khurrana with Sara Ali Khan, who stars opposite him following their earlier collaboration in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do. Written and directed by Akash A Kaushik, the film aims to deliver a sharp, lighthearted story that balances comedy with subtle social commentary.
Udta Teer is backed by a major collaborative production team, presented by Dharma Productions alongside Sikhya Entertainment. Sony Music has joined as a music partner, while Netflix and Star Gold are attached for post-theatrical distribution.
