Avinash will be the lead cast, preparing to start a web series based on the life of ‘Dawood Ibrahim’
After completing the second edition of Inside Edge and Mirzapur, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani associated with Excel Entertainment have shifted their focus towards their next web series. This year, the pair announced that they wanted to convert S Hussain Zaidi’s book ‘Dongri to Dubai’ into a web series.
The story of this three-part series of 10-10 episodes will be based on going to the height of the underworld and then falling from there. Its script is being written. A source told that its casting has also started. Makers feel that Avinash Tiwari will prove to be perfect to play & Dawood Ibrahim in it.
He will play Young Dawood in this. Special preparation will have to be done for the role, the source further said, “In this series, Dawood’s journey will be shown for which the makers needed a young actor, who could show his phase. Avinash will have to prepare a lot for this role and he will also have to go through physical transformation. It is expected that its shooting will start early next year.
