Yes, you read that right. According to a report in Pinkvilla, SRK will no longer be a part of the hit franchise, and the makers, along with film’s director Farhan Akhtar are now looking for a new star to reboot the franchise.

As per the report, Shah Rukh Khan is now focused on doing commercial films that appeal to a wider audience and he believes that the Don franchise does not align with his future cinematic preferences.

Shah Rukh Khan fans are unhappy with the news of his exit, and as soon as the news about his exit from the franchise broke on social media, they expressed their displeasure as they believe  that there is no Don without SRK.

One user wrote, “No one can replace SRK as Don. Specially in this new generation. Kisi ki aukaat nahi hai Don ka swag match karne ki”.

Another user wrote, “Ready to wait for another decade but no Don 3 without SRK”.

Shah Rukh Khan stepped into the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan, who is the OG Don. Farhan Akhtar is now looking for a new star to lead the hit franchise. Fans are suggesting a few names to take over the legacy. But two names are stand out- War star Hrithik Roshan and Ranbir Kapoor.  Now it will be interesting to see if one of these two gets into the shoes of SRK or Farhan looks for a new and fresh face. Interestingly, Hrithik had played a cameo in Don 2.
