Attack Review: John Abraham brings the new age action drama on-screen

Director – Lakshya Raj Anand

Cast – John Abraham, Rakul Preet Singh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Prakash Raj and Ratna Pathak Shah

Ratings -3.5/5

John Abraham, Rakul Preet Singh, and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer Attack have finally released in theatres. The film is directed by Lakshya Raj Anand and it is presented by Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios), John Abraham (JA Entertainment), and Ajay Kapoor Productions.

Talking about the film, John Abraham’s action-packed film is the story of a soldier Arjun Shergill (John Abraham) who gets paralyzed in an attack where he loses the love of his life Ayesha (Jacqueline Fernandez), later, the soldier gets back to normal with sci-fi skills and goes all the way to destroy terrorism.

Director Lakshya Raj Anand has tried his best to bring a fresh sci-fi action drama onboard but it came with a lack of execution and abrupt scripting. The first part of the film was a little slow whereas, the second part grabbed the attention with the high voltage action scenes.

Coming to the performances, John Abraham is the perfect choice for this action entertainer. He is at his best and impresses us much on screens. Rakul Preet was excellent at her work, she played the role of a young scientist. Jacqueline was although waste as a cast, her screen timings were too less and her character would have also elaborated more. Last but not the least, Prakash Raj, stole the whole show with his epic timings and dialogue delivery. He was a cherry on top of this film. Ratna Pathak Shah was also commendable in her part in the role.

Going forward, the dialogues of the film were quite commendable. Sumit Bhateja, the dialogue writer of the film wrote some hard-hitting suitable dialogues for the film. The music would have been better as none of the songs are chartbusters as of now.

Verdict – Attack is a perfect weekend one-time watch film. P.S.- John Abraham fans will be surprised with a Dhoom reprise bike scene in the climax.
