Ashutosh Gowariker is a known filmmaker who is popular for investing huge efforts and money to make his films go beyond the set yardstick for it. Now as he is busy directing his film Panipat with Arjun Kapoor and others, he has taken all his efforts to make the film appear to look like an 18th-century venture. The film Panipat is based on the epic war which was fought 300 years back.
The filmmaker is showcasing the third battle of Panipat fought between the Marathas and Afghans. In order to get the authentic look and feel, Ashu is investing huge on the production design. In fact, the director has allocated a huge budget for production design. In fact, the sources reveal that the filmmaker has a huge chunk of money from his film’s budget into production designs. He has created huge replicas of Shamsher, khanda and gupti. Also, you would see the replica of shields known as tilwah will be created soon.
Arjun Kapoor starrer film is a period movie, which has a huge budget when compared to regular films. While talking about the same, the director said it is vital to pay heed on the various like makeup and props to allow things to appear as authentic. The film has Sanjay Dutt and Kriti Sanon besides Arjun Kapoor who is playing the character of Sadashiv Rao Bhau. Kriti Sanon is seen as his wife Parvati Bai and Sanjay Dutt is the Afghan leader. On the other side, Zeenat Aman will be seen in the role called, Sakina Begum. The film is hitting the screens on 6th December.
