Priyanka Chopra is still doing Jee Le Zaraa, her backing out reports are ‘baseless’

Earlier multiple news portals have reported that global icon Priyanka Chopra has been quitting her Bollywood film Jee Le Zaraa. The reason for opting out of her Bollywood comeback film was said to her newly born baby. Recently Priyanka and her husband Nick Jonas have welcomed their child via surrogacy.

However, declining all the rumours a source close to her has informed ETimes that it is baseless information.

The source said, “The rumours about Priyanka Chopra opting out of the film are completely baseless and untrue.” Farhan Akhtar’s film Jee Le Zaara also stars Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt in prominent parts. Back in 2021, Priyanka Chopra confirmed that she is a part of the project.

According to DailyMail.com, Nick and Priyanka’s baby was born 12 weeks early at a Southern California hospital, where she will remain until she is healthy enough to return home to the pair. The couple was allegedly expecting their first child in April, and Priyanka had even taken time off work to prepare for motherhood.

Priyanka and Nick announced on their social media accounts on January 22 that they are now parents to their first child, whom they welcomed through surrogacy. Their note read, “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much!”

Jee Le Zaraa, on the other hand, was introduced last year. The film is produced by Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment and Tiger Baby, which is led by Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti and is billed as a road trip drama. Farhan Akhtar expressed excitement about the project, which he unveiled on the 20th anniversary of his directorial debut, ‘Dil Chahta Hai.’
