This Friday you have a solo release, which comes in the form of Sarabjit. The film is a biopic made on the lives of an Indian farmer who accidentally crosses the border and gets caught for being a spy from India. Since the film a struggle of his sister to find him and get him released from Pak Jail it appears to be a political drama, which failed to attract the audience far and wide. Talking about its morning shows, it only tolled to 15 percent, which is really a low figure. Also, the film has managed to get mixed reviews, with most of the reviewers were seen castigating Aishwarya Rai for her overacting and urban style rural dialogues.
Though the B Town has no other movie to release this day, the Hollywood embarked with X-Men: Apocalypse that managed to get occupancy of 45 percent across the nation. Sarabjit was supposed to pick up in the evening and night shows, but thanks to the low buzz found for the film, it can only secure small amount of moolah at the box office. As per reports, the first day box office collection for Sarabjit tolled to around 3.5 crores only, which is certainly not the figure the makers were expecting from the film. The trade pundits have hopes to witness some amount of surge in the coming first weekend of the film. Let’s see what the destiny of this biopic is.
