Wiki – Arya Babbar is a Hindi and Punjabi film actor and has acted in films like Ab Ke baras, Guru, Joker, Tees Maar Khan. Born on24th May 1981 in mumbai, Arya Babbar is the son of the famous actor Raj Babbar. His mother Nadira Babbar was also a famous theatre actress and performer. Arya made his Bollywood entry in 2002, with the film Ab Ke Baras. He was paired opposite Amrita Rao, who was also a debutant in the film. Ab Ke Baras received low response at the box office but the actor got noticed for his good performance for which he received the Most Promising Newcomer- Male at the Star Screen Awards in 2002.

Bio – Arya’s sister Juhi Babar has also acted in Hindi films. His half brother Prateik Babbar is a known face in the Hindi film industry and has acted in films like Jane Tu ya Jane na and Ek Deewana Tha.

Thereon the actorhas appeared in few lesser known films like Mudda : the issue and Thoda Tum Badlo Thoda Hum. But he was not noticed again until he acted in 2007 Mani Ratnam film Guru as Aishwarya’s brother. The film, which was a major hit, gave him the recognition which even his debut film could not give him. In the same year, he acted in the film Partition in which he essayed the role of Akbar Khan. The period drama, provided him a potential role. In the following years he acted in Chamku and Jail which went unnoticed. In 2010, he acted in Farah khan directed Tees Maar Khan. He played the role of inspector Dhurinder and was spotted as extremely good at comedy. Next, the actor was a part of Salman Khan’s Ready , in the character of Veer. In 2012 he played the role of Aarif in the Karishma Kapoor starrer Dangerous Ishq. In the same year, he once again acted in a comic role in another Farah Khan film, Joker, as a rickshaw driver. In 2013, the Vishal Bharadjwaj film Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola gave him the character of Baadal. Thereon the actor has been in much lesser known films like Zindagi 50-50, Naughty Jatts, Afra Tafri, Heer And Hero.

Apart from Hindi films, the actor has been active in Punjabi films which includes the film Paapi. Apart from films the actor is also known for his creation of the comic book Pushpak Viman. Recently Arya Babbar has received The National Award Of Journalist Association for Upcoming Actor In Action.
