Article 15 – 1st Weekend Box Office Collection

Article 15 review
Amidst the decent buzz, the film Article 15 starring Ayushmann Khurrana finally hit the screens. However, it faced tough competition from Shahid Kapoor’s film called Kabir Singh. Yet the amount of collection the film made during the weekend was a decent figure. The film opened up with a collection with 5.02 Crores on the first day, while it collected around 7.25 Cr on the second day. The film scored well on its first day with the collection reaching more than 8.5 Crores at the box office. The trade pundit Taran Adarsh was quick to share these figures.
So, with these collections, the 1st-weekend box office collection for Article 15 scored around 20.77 Crores, which is a decent figure for the makers to have a good time. It is Anubhav Sinha’s venture, who remains the Mulk fame director. Comparing this film with his earlier movie Mulk starring Rishi Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut, Article 15 was a decent grosser. Thanks to the kind of buzz the film was able to create in the media.
The reviews and ratings for Article 15 seemed better and higher and also the buzz for the film has been good that has helped the film to do a decent business at the box office. The film was marred into controversy making it an upper and lower class debate. All this has helped the film to garner a decent word of mouth buzz in the media. However, the weekdays’ collection would be meagerly ranging from 3 to 5 crores. All thanks to the stiff competition from Shahid Kapoor starrer film Kabir Singh.
