For the Diljit Dosanjh-Kriti Sanon starrer film called Arjun Patiala released this Friday, it was no magic on the box office. The film with the mixed review opened up on a low note scoring only 1.25 Crores at the box office on its first day. The film had a similar trend in the other day and interestingly it failed to garner a good boost at the box office in the Northern States of the country despite the decent popularity of the lead actor. The collection was less than the expected one despite all the hype it had.
The second day did witness some amount of surge on the second day but was not that substantial amount to have a gala time. It only went on to score 1.50 Crores on the second day. Sunday also did not offer much at the box office. As per reports, the film managed to get only 3.25 Crores on the third day which made the figure at the box office in the first weekend to be a meager figure. So, adding them all, the 1st-weekend box office collection for Arjuna Patiala ended up scoring only 6 Crores.
Obviously, the film faced a good competition from the other release – Judgemental Hai Kya starring Rajkummar Rao and Kangana Ranaut. Also, the other films that wrecked havoc for the other film include Super 30 and The Lion King. All in all, it was a bad weekend for the comedy film Arjun Patiala and it would continue during the weekdays as well with similar collections at the box office.
