With the great success of the web series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story coming to the popular OTT platform – SonyLiv, the makers are back in the news for announcing their next series on Telgi, making their earlier show an important scam franchise. Both the makers – Applause Entertainment backed by Aditya Birla Group has once again tied up with the Sony TV digital wing SonyLiv for the said venture. The earlier show was a big hit and it did bring the makers and the star cast to make news in the media.
Now, we have yet another scam story to be told on a web series called The Telgi Story that involved the biggest stamp paper scam carried out by Abdul Karim Telgi. They have given a tentative title to this sequel calling it Scam 2003: The Curious Case of Abdul Karim Telgi. As per Bollywood Hungama, the show has gained the story rights from a popular Hindi book called ‘Reporter ki Diary’, which was written by a journalist called Sanjay Singh.
The series has been an intriguing watch and it is going to unveil the life of Abdul Karim Telgi that are born in Khanapur in Karnataka. The scam involved the biggest scam in terms of money that went to around 20K Crores, which is huge and whopping as far as the scam value is concerned. They are now going to enter into the pre-production phase and soon the casting director would rope in actors for the same. Stay tuned for more on this show and others only with us.
