Meanwhile, talking about Dharma Productions, there are a lot of big films from the production house to release soon. Currently, there is Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor’s highly awaited Brahmastra. Brahmastra has been in the works for a long time. Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna appear in the film, which is directed by Ayan Mukerji of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani fame. Shah Rukh Khan is said to make a cameo appearance. The film has a September 9 release date, however, it has previously been postponed, first owing to reshoots and then due to the pandemic.

Earlier, in an exclusive chat with Pinkvilla, Apoorva Mehta had expressed about operating with Ayan Mukerji for Brahmastra. He said, “The film is special to us for multiple reasons. It’s a very expensive film, but it has been an incredible journey. The vision of Ayan Mukerji, the amount of effort and energy that went into making this film.” He added, “The whole journey of understanding how to make this high budget VFX film, how to mount them, how to plan for VFX, how to execute – it has been a very long journey, a very difficult journey but extremely rewarding when you see cut of the film. The conversations are all of excitement and anticipation. There’s a lot of curiosity and everyone is looking forward to seeing the film. We are ready now to release and for the world to enjoy it.”
