Censor Board Clears Mission Mangal with U & Batla House gets U/A certification

Mission Mangal U while Batla House UA certification

Two films releasing this I-Day the Akshay Kumar starrer film Mission Mangal and John Abraham starrer film Batla House. Both seem to be of different genre and thus looking at their respective contents, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has passed with a U and U/A certificates for Mission Mangal and Batla House respectively. The running time for Mission Mangal and Batla House come to around 133 mins and 146.07 minutes respectively.

The movie Mission Mangal has Jagan Shakti as its director and it has been produced under a slew of production houses including Cape of Good Films, Fox Star Studios, Hope Productions, Anil Naidu and Aruna Bhatia. The film has multiple stars including Vidya Balan, Nithya Menen, Taapsee Pannu, Sharman Joshi, Kirti Kulhari and Sonakshi Sinha apart from Akshay Kumar. The film seems to be decent in terms of content and has an interesting thing to showcase that remains suitable for both adult and children alike. Thus getting a U certification is justified.

On the other side, Batla House has gained U/A certificate for its controversial content since there is a certain section of society which believes that the encounter carried out by the Delhi Police was fake and innocent students were killed by them. Also, there is a case being lodged against by Ariz Khan and Shehzad Ahmad back in Delhi at the High Court which is going to hear it on 13th August that would decide the fate of its screening. The film has the allegation that it will influence the current trial in the court on the Batla House encounter.
