Anurag Kashyap Slams The Kerala Story, Calls Vipul Shah Greedy

While numerous voices from the film industry have condemned the overt Islamophobic tone of The Kerala Story, Anurag Kashyap stands out as one of the first prominent figures from Bollywood to openly criticize the film.

Talking about this episode, Anurag Kashyap bluntly called the film “bullsh*t propaganda.” Referring to the much-discussed beef scene from The Kerala Story 2 trailer—where a woman is shown being force-fed beef—he remarked, “Aisa beef kaun khilata hai? Aisa koi khichdi bhi nahi khilata hai (Who feeds someone beef like that? No one is even fed khichdi in such a way).”

Taking aim at both the scene and the filmmaker, Kashyap added, “They just want to make money and please everyone by dividing people. The filmmaker is a greedy man. He just wants to make money.”On a different note, Anurag spoke about his professional journey and his film Kennedy.

He shared a heartfelt anecdote about Vijay Sethupathi: “He told me there’s an amazing story, and the makers of Maharaja had been trying to reach me. I initially said no. Then he helped me discover something in Kennedy.

He even has a ‘Thank You’ card in the film. I couldn’t say no after that. I told him I needed to get my daughter married next year and wasn’t sure I could afford it. Vijay Sethupathi said, ‘We’ll help you.’ And Maharaja happened (laughs).” Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us and if you have anything to share do comment below and share your thoughts by commenting below.
