He doesn’t hold back from voicing his opinion, Now the filmmaker has surprised everyone with his latest tweet where he has opposed the ban on this year’s most controversial flick ‘The Kerala Story’.
The film has been banned in West Bengal by the state government and many cinegoers have opposed this ban. Anurag Kashyap shared cryptic tweets seemingly talking about the ban and said that it is ‘just wrong’ to ban a film, even if it is ‘propaganda’.
Anurag’s tweet reads, “You agree with the film or not, be it propaganda, counter propaganda, offensive or not, to ban it is just wrong,” Along with a tweet he also shared a quote by French writer and philosopher Voltaire. It read, “I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it.”

‘The Kerala Story’ is directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The film stars Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Anurag Kashyap is now coming up with his upcoming gangster- thriller, ‘Kennedy, The film which stars Sunny Leone, will be screened at the 76th annual Cannes Film Festival.
