Anubhav Sinha Set to Reveal His 3.0 Avatar with a Big-Budget Commercial Film Featuring Action and Car Chase Sequences
Anubhav Sinha embarked on his directorial journey with the musical hit Tum Bin in 2001. He then transitioned to creating stylish action films, including Dus (2005) and Cash (2007), before taking on the superhero genre with Ra.One in 2011. In 2018, Sinha shifted his focus to critically acclaimed films such as Mulk (2018), Article 15 (2019), and Thappad (2020), marking a new chapter in his career that media and peers dubbed his 2.0 version. Now, it appears that Anubhav Sinha 3.0 is on the horizon as he prepares to direct a larger-than-life mainstream film. He recently shared insights about this exciting development with Bollywood Hungama.
When asked about his next project following IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack and whether it would be a series, he explained, “It won’t be a show for a long time, as that takes up too much time. I’m focused on making films and working on some bigger projects. I’m eager to incorporate music again; it’s been 6-7 years since I had songs in my films. I love creating music, visual effects, and action like I did in Dus and Ra.One. Many people seem to have forgotten that I once made films like those!”
A writer chimed in, expressing disagreement, noting that Ra.One, featuring Shah Rukh Khan, is now fondly remembered for its groundbreaking VFX. Sinha chuckled, saying, “In my lifetime, I have seen Ra.One transition from a flop to a hit!” Reflecting on the iconic song from the film, he added, “I want to create my own ‘Chammak Challo’ again! I’m aiming for a big action sequence and an epic car chase. I’m working on it, and you’ll hear more from me soon. It might even be another superhero flick!” When asked if this signifies the dawn of Anubhav Sinha 3.0, he replied, “That’s not what’s important. What matters is that I have fun making the film” (smiling). Stay tuned for more only with us.
