Anti-aging herbs for glowing and youthful skin

Aging happens with time and yes, it happens to everyone.  Your skin will get wrinkles and fine lines on your as you grow older.  Skin aging is unstoppable but can be delayed.  

Chemical therapy is an instant idea but s chemical and comes with side effects after all. Besides, it doesn’t sound great and is not even a pocket-friendly choice. 

What about Ayurveda? 

Ayurvedic natural products have the superpower to enhance your skin and this ancient medical system is still used today. Impressive, right?

So let us list a few herbs that work wonders on your skin, decreasing the signs of ageing. 

Turmeric (Haldi)

Turmeric is the constituent of food in every home. But do you know that it is also good for your skin? It contains a compound called  ‘curcumin’ which has anti-aging, anti-bacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. Hence, it adds a natural glow and energy to your skin.

Cinnamon(Sandalwood)

Sandalwood or “Chandan” has cooling properties and some organic brightening that help heal sun tans, black spots, and uneven skin tone. It is known to prevent the loss of skin elasticity. 

Holy Basil (Tulsi)

Holy basil or Tulsi plant found in almost every Indian home has powerful skin benefits. It helps you to maintain skin moisture levels, removes roughness from the skin, protects from wrinkles, and makes your skin smooth. 

Clove (lavang)

Clove is known for removing free radicals from your skin avoiding the chances of wrinkles, dark spots, fine lines, and looseness in the skin. 

Ginger (Adrak)

Ginger is high in anti-oxidant and anti-inflammation properties. It prevents the production of free radicals that affect your metabolism and oxidative stress which can adversely affect your skin. 

Indian Gooseberry (Amla)

Amla, or Indian gooseberry, has plenty of Vitamin C and antioxidants. It helps in skin tightening and gives it a healthy glow. You should drink amla juice regularly to increase collagen production in the skin. External application of Amla as a face wash and face pack protects you from acne, pimples, sunburn, and other skin damage. 

Ashwagandha 

Ashwagandha herb has anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal and increases your thinking power. Its high alkaloid content safeguards your skin cells from stress and any damaging effect. A face pack of Ashwagandha powder, ginger extract, and lemon juice will have a great effect on your skin.
