Throwback: Queen Elizabeth was one asked by two tourists “Have you met the Queen,” here’s what she answered

The reign of Queen Elizabeth lasted for more than seven decades. And following her demise on Thursday, many people on social media are choosing to remember her sense of humour. Journalists and other Twitter users have uploaded a video of the queen’s former royal protection officer, Richard Griffin, telling a funny story about the monarch in honour of her Platinum Jubilee in June. The video is credited to Sky News. It was a lot of people’s “favourite story.”

In the video, Mr. Griffin is heard claiming that he was picnicking with Queen Elizabeth when they came across the vacationing tourists in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, close to Balmoral Castle. It was obvious from the time we first stopped that they hadn’t recognised (her), he said, adding that the Queen would always stop and say hello.

The travelers informed the Queen Elizabeth of their origin and destination. Finally, they inquired about her residence. She said, “Well, I reside in London, but I have a vacation property right over there,” Mr. Griffin recounted.

In the now-viral video, he is also heard adding, “One tourist then asked the Queen how frequently had she been coming up here, and she said, “Ever since I was a tiny girl, so over 80 years.”

The tourists’ question, “Well, if you’ve been coming up for 80 years, you must have met the Queen?” made the discourse more fascinating, according to Mr. Griffin. She swiftly responded, calling Mr. Griffin by his alias, “Well, I haven’t, but Dickie here meets her frequently.”

The stunned tourists turned to me, Mr. Griffin said, and inquired, “What’s she like?” In addition, Mr. Griffin said, “I told them she may be pretty cantankerous at times, but she’s got a beautiful sense of humour.”

According to Mr. Griffin, the tourists’ question, “Well, if you’ve been coming up for 80 years, you must have met the Queen Elizabeth?” made the conversation more interesting.. He stated that the Queen complied.

The tourists joined her for a photo and then continued on their journey.
The Queen reportedly said Mr. Griffin, “I’d love to be a fly on the wall when he presents those images to friends in America. Hopefully, someone tells him who I am,” according to the end of the film, which Mr. Griffin then shares with the Sky News reporter.
