Another Biopic on a Cricketer to be made covering 1983 World Cup Victory


With slew of biopic films made on cricketers like MS Dhoni, Mohd Azharuddin and Sachin Tendulkar, it’s the turn of another cricketer. The film is likely to be made by Kabir Khan and he intends to cast Salman Khan for the same. And if you check the recent buzz, the filmmaker plans to cover the 1983 World Cup Victory so one can make out who would be the cricketer who would be covered in this biopic.

Salman Khan has always relied on Kabir Khan so, when Atul Agnihotri & Alvira Agnihotri approached him to suggest a director for their next production venture apart from getting him for the lead rope, he with no doubt pointed the finger to Kabir Khan for the film. The two claimed that Salman has immense amount of faith on Kabir Khan and has given a couple of Blockbuster films.

He very much comfortable working with Kabir Khan and currently engaged with another project of Kabir called Tubelight, which will be releasing next Eid. So, the project works out then Salman Khan is likely to play the biopic lead actor based on the cricketer who led the Indian team in world cup 1983 making the country proud. Though there is nothing official about this buzz, it is merely some murmur heard by some insiders about the biopic venture of Agnihotris.
