Anjali Patil is a theatre and film actress who was born on 26 September 1987 in New Delhi. She comes from a Marathi family and had gone to a local school to complete her schooling. At the age of 14 she decided to pursue her career in acting and hence got enrolled in Center for Performing Arts from University of Pune and later got her Bachelor degree in Humanities bagging the gold medal for her excellence. She later went on to do her masters in Theater Design from NSD in New Delhi, which gave her to interact with a number of filmmakers and theatre directors. This then entered into the domain of acting starting with theaters.

Her first feature film was the Prashant Nair’s Hindi-English international independent film Delhi wherein she portrayed the character of Rohini. The film was t premiered in Asia at the Mumbai film festival and finally got released theatrically in India in August 2012. She then did a short film called Green Bangles, which got selected for Women In Film and Television International, Los Angele in the year 2012. However, her big B Town break came with the film from Prakash Jha called Chakravyuh, which dealt with Maoists. Her performance was applauded by one and all.

Some of her other works include Oba Nathuwa Obe Ekka, which again gave her best performance awards including Silver Peacock award for Best Actor Female at International Film Festival of India in Goa. She is among the youngest actors to get this award. She did two Marathi movies including The Silence and Bardo. Now, she will be seen in the character of Nimo along with the film Newton with the actor Rajkummar Rao releasing this year in 2016. Her other upcoming feature film is Mrs. Scooter.
