Anjali Patil is a National Award winning actress who was last seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya. She was recently in the news for signing her next with the one and only Rajnikanth.
After winning the Sri Lankan Presidential Award in March (equivalent of their National Award), she will now head over to the British Film Institute to collect her “Outstanding Achievement Award” by the London Indian Film Festival. Other former recipients of awards from the LIFF include Mani Ratnam, Shekhar Kapur, Sharmila Tagore.
On the work front, Anjali will be seen next in Amit Mapuskar’s ‘Newton’ opposite Rajkumar Rao, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s ‘Mere Pyare Prime Minister’, Rajnikanth’s ‘Kaala’ and Anand Rai produced ‘Nimmo.’
