The clock is ticking once again for Jai Singh Rathod. Actor Anil Kapoor’s landmark action-thriller series, 24, is officially heading to JioHotstar for its digital comeback, with streaming scheduled to begin on April 24, 2026. Originally adapted from the hit American series of the same name, the Indian version earned critical acclaim for its unique real-time narrative, where each episode represents one hour of a single day.

A New Streaming Strategy

Fans won’t have to wait long to binge-watch the high-stakes drama. Both seasons of the series will be available on the platform, following a structured rollout by getting premier on 24th April 2026, while the release format comes this way – Eight episodes will drop every Friday, keeping the tension high for viewers.

Anil Kapoor, who headlines the series as Anti-Terrorist Unit (ATU) Chief Jai Singh Rathod, shared the news via Instagram with the caption: “Against the clock, against all odds! Let’s do this!”

A Career-Defining Role

Reflecting on the digital return of the show, Anil Kapoor expressed his deep personal connection to the project. “I’ve played many intense and action-driven roles over the years, but 24 was never just another show for me; it was an adrenaline rush like no other,” Kapoor stated. “The pace, the pressure, and the real-time storytelling pushed me to stay constantly on edge.”

The return of the series is particularly timely, as Indian audiences have shown an increasing appetite for fast-paced, genre-driven content on OTT platforms.

The Legacy of Jai Singh Rathod

The first season of 24 originally premiered on Colors TV in October 2013, followed by a second season in 2016. Its high production value and gritty portrayal of counter-terrorism efforts in Mumbai set a new benchmark for Indian television.

Kapoor, who was recently seen in the Amazon Prime Video series Subedaar, continues to champion high-octane storytelling. With its move to JioHotstar, a new generation of viewers will now have the chance to experience the ticking-clock suspense that redefined the Indian thriller genre.
