Review

There isn’t much thriller working in B Town these days but one man who is known to embark with success in this genre is Sriram Raghavan. He has his latest known as Andhadhun, which at one go can be called as a keep them guessing kind of thriller. It never loses the vital question that says what really goes the next. Everything in this film seems to be fitting into the right bill in a perfect manner. These include the blind man in the hunt for the best dhun, Dhawan seen choosing for his lost married life, the lady cop played by Tabu is in search for her own old life who is always in the wrong place at every wrong time and so on.

No one seems to be perfectly innocent despite the fact that the film has varied shade of grey and white as well. The film seems to be flagging simply for the little after the interval and things turn to a tad heavy handed and mundane. However, soon you get to see things simply back over the track and soon we are seen coming over the hearts in our mouths. So, who is there to survive in the chopping block and who would survive would haunt you in the film keeping your glued to your seat.

Talking about the performances, the presence of Dhawan allows to feel the heft while the star makes you smile with the lovely song of Kishore Da. Khurrana is simply aweome in playing the blind man willing to unearth the mystery around, while Tabu as usual is simply awesome in the movie. Others also have played a decent role in the film. Talking about the other elements like music, cinematography, screenplay and other elements seemed okay, while there are some flaws in editing and technical stuff but all in all the film seems to be simply good and can gain momentum if it gains the buzz in the media.

Andhadhun – The Last Word

The film takes you back to the seventies memory lane and somewhere close to the film Johnny Gaddar. It is a racy and pacy film which as something interesting to reveal. It also smartly puts across something interesting over your lap which makes it a good watch this weekend.
