Amul pays tribute to legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar, ‘Hum jahan jahan chalengye apka saaya sath hoga’

Amul is a popular diary brand that focuses on current events. On Sunday, the brand used social media to pay tribute to the late Lata Mangeshkar. The ‘Nightingale of India’ died on February 6th, at the age of 92, from multi-organ failure.

While mourning the singer’s death, Amul topical seen her progress as a musician. “Hum jahan jahan chalenge aapka saaya saath hoga,” read the tagline on the artwork, referring to her iconic song “Tu jahan jahan chalega mera saaya saath hoga” from the 1996 film Mera Saaya.

PM Narendra Modi, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Lata Mangeshkar’s family members Asha Bhosle and Usha Mangeshkar, grandkids, Shraddha Kapoor, Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, Ranbir Kapoor, Vidya Balan, and others were present during her state funeral on Sunday evening. Sharad Pawar and Raj Thackeray, both politicians, were also present.

Lata Mangeshkar died on Sunday morning at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where she had been confined for the previous 28 days. Dr. Pratit Samdani, the veteran singer’s doctor, released a statement revealing that Lata didi died of multiple organ failure. “It is with profound grief that we announce the sad demise of #LataMangeshkar at 8:12 am. She has died because of multi-organ failure after more than 28 days of hospitalisation post COVID19,” he said.
